Church Stage Curtain Track

Hanging Church Stage Curtains

Church stage curtains can be hung in a variety of ways. They can be tied to pipe or be made with webbing and grommets so they may be hung from stage curtain track with drapery hardware. Curtain track can be straight or curved, ceiling mounted or suspended, motorized, rope-operated, or walk-along (hand-pulled). While your church's individual curtain track installation may differ, 280-Series track is typically used for main stage curtains, 170-Series for the back, and 140-Series for curved applications. Planning for and purchasing stage curtain track for your church should be done with the help of one of our Stageperts to ensure the safety of your crew and performers.

Church Stage Curtain Finishes

Church Curtain Finishes

A curtain needs to be finished on the sides and bottom as well as the top. For example, scrims and cycs are sewn with a pipe pocket at the bottom so they can be weighted and ultimately hang straight; stage curtains are sewn with weight tape to achieve the same result. Your church's individual requirements will determine how your stage curtains are hung and how ultimately how your curtains are finished.

The two most common finishes requested are sewn with 50% fullness and 3" box pleats or flat. Usually, the main, valance and back curtains are sewn with 50% fullness and scrims and cycs are sewn flat.

Curtains hung from pipe are typically finished with webbing, grommets and ties, while curtains hung from track are sewn with webbing, grommets and s-hooks.
