Lining Fabrics

Lining fabrics are used to give drapery a finished look, block out light, dampen sound, or protect a curtain from damage caused by scenery and other objects which may snag the fabric. Lining can be either permanently sewn onto the main curtain or made to be removable with hook and loop. Typically, cotton fabrics are lined with a cotton product, while IFR fabrics are lined with a polyester product. Lining fabrics can be sewn into any curtain, but are commonly used to give featured drapes like main curtains and valances a finished look.
