Commando and Duvetyn are made from 100% Cotton and are chemically treated to be fire retardant. There is some confusion about the difference between the two fabrics as they are very similar. Both have a brushed matte finish and the look the same from the audience point of view. Commando is a heavier weight and more opaque fabric. Both fabrics are commonly used in theaters and corporate events for rear setting curtains or masking curtains. We keep 8oz, 12oz and 16oz Black in stock. Lining

Different fabrics can be used for lining different curtains. It depends on what fabric the curtain is made with and the location of the curtains. For cotton stage curtains a simple Ranger lining will work just fine. For poly stage curtains the equivalent to denim is Avora. For curtains going into windows, Passfoam should be the fabric of choice. Passfoam is a 100% opaque fabric that will protect the curtain from UV. If you are not sure if you curtains need lining or which lining you should use, contact our sales staff.
